What else should I consider when picking a Google My Business logo?
The photo needs to be in focus and perfectly lit, and have no considerable edits or excessive application of filters. The photo should show reality. The logo will demonstrate your business identity to customers on Google.
Low-resolution or grainy pictures give off a very bad first impression. While the establishment might be wonderful, a customer will simply go to a place where they know for sure the service looks great.
The same goes for dark photos or images in unnatural lighting. For best results, consulting with a graphic designer can provide substantial returns over time. While Afiar doesn’t have any in-house graphic designers, we work with really talented ones on a daily basis. Help us connect you to one here. This is especially true in densely populated areas.

Another very important aspect of your logo is something we’ve seen business-owners drop the ball on over-and-over. Accuracy
What we mean by accuracy is, How well does the logo reflect your business?
It is vital that your logo is the same logo and icon people will see when doing business with you. The same logo on your documents, website, etc. When a user sees a logo on Google My Business, clicks the business, and ends on a website with a different logo at the top, it’s very common for them to quickly click ‘Back’ because they think you haven’t updated your website address.
In reality, you may have just been trying out a new logo. But users don’t know this. Make sure your logo is consistent across all platforms and branding. (T-shirts, embroidery, documents, etc)
How to add a logo to your Google My Business
Navigation Navigate to the ‘Photos’ section of your Google My. Business app or website. This will be the same section you use to access your header, uploads, etc.
Selection Here you will be able to upload several photos and videos at once. It is important that one of the photos you upload matches the recommendations we discussed above if you plan on using it for your organizations logo.
Tagging Attributes Now it’s time to let Google know which photo you want to use as your logo. Then somewhere at the top, near the first two pictures if you’ve already uploaded some, you will see the tags for ‘Logo’ and ‘Cover’
When you select the logo tag, you will be able to select from the photos you just uploaded. This method is recommended because it prevents you from accidentally setting the wrong image as a logo, even if just for a second.
